The Chester County Commissioners will hold a third in-person Town Hall meeting on Monday, October 2, 2023 at 7:00PM at Owen J. Roberts Middle School for Chester County residents impacted by the escape of Danilo Cavalcante.
The meeting will explain the emergency communication process for county residents, will provide an opportunity for residents to ask questions about the final days of the search and capture of Cavalcante, and to offer counseling services for those who have experienced emotional stress related to the escape incident. Representatives from the Chester County Prison Board, Chester County Department of Emergency Services, the Chester County Commissioners and a team from the Chester County Disaster Crisis Outreach Referral Team (DCORT) who will offer trauma-informed counseling support at the meeting and information on further counseling services.
Residents who have questions about the efforts that Chester County has made to improve security measures at Chester County Prison, and prison-related emergency notifications, can send questions to the Chester County Commissioners at cccommissioners@chesco.org.
A free shredding event will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2023 from 10:00AM to 1:00PM at the Owen J Roberts High School. This event is open to all resident in the PA House of Representatives District 26. Participants are limited to 3 bags or boxes of personal documents to shred.

The State Transportation Commission (STC) has recently released the 2023 Transportation Performance Report. This report contains information about how Pennsylvania’s transportation performed over the last two years.
The STC and PennDOT have also announced the comment period for the update to the 12-year Program. The Public Comment Period is open from March 1 through April 30, 2023. Your feedback is important! The Board of Supervisors meeting scheduled for Monday, August 1, 2022 has been postponed to Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 7:30PM. The meeting will be held at the Township Office located at 1371 New Philadelphia Road, Pottstown PA. This meeting is open to the public.
The Chester County Health Department is conducting a community based survey to understand the knowledge and experience of county residents as it relates to Lyme disease. The results of the survey will inform how the Health Department’s retools its community education and how it leverages partnerships around Lyme disease.
