Chester County has announced the schedule for the 2016 Town Tours and Village Walks. Town Tours and Village Walks is a series of free summer strolls through historic neighborhoods, hamlets, villages and sites. Tours will be held weekly on Thursday evenings from June 9 through August 25. This year’s series will celebrate 300 years of the iron and steel industry in Pennsylvania by highlighting many of the historic villages, iron master mansions and industrial sites that shaped our region.
South Coventry Township will be hosting a historic walk through the village of Coventryville on June 16, 2016 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm as part of the Town Tours and Village Walks. Volunteers are still needed to assist with this event! If you are interested in being a historian, tour guide or helping with registration, please contact the Township Office at (610) 469-0444.
